In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The mission centers on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an special katana alongside multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This release also introduces the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic skills: Naoe debuts a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
